Planting Seeds....that won't be growing this year.

In May we planted seeds for our flower beds in the backyard.  We could see some flowers coming up again from last year.  Our backyard needs a lot of work and a lot of money put into it.  Since right now the budget is a little tighter flower seeds seem to be the cheapest way to help it look somewhat nice.  Last year the flower beds we planted in were full of beautiful flowers.  We loved it.  The kids loved catching the butterflys and watching the hummingbirds that were attracted to them.  Of course we didn't enjoy dodging some of the huge bumblebees that also liked them.  I loved looking out my kitchen window and seeing the Morning Glory climbing our wall. We planted several seeds this year.  Unfornately, after some family needs that were far more important came up, my attention left the flower beds completely so we probably won't be seeing many flowers come up this year.  I'm excited for when we can install a drip line back there.  Cole, also mentioned putting some trees back there which I'm thrilled about too.  Eventually, I do want to have a garden.  I just want to be sure I'm ready for the committment it will be to care for it since it will take a hit to the budget to create it. I also want to be sure we can afford a drip line for the garden, too, otherwise the garden will have no chance given how hot it is. Even though circumstances changed this year and we won't have many flowers coming up the kids and I had a lot of fun planting them.  We were giggling and throwing mulch all over those beds.  The kids had fun doing it and really in the end that is the best part.

Ashton's Preschool Graduation

Two little Bikers

Silly Randomness......

I love catching pictures and moments of Jetta and Ashton playing together.  They are quite the silly pair.  They play so well together and balance each other out.  Jetta brings so much fun and sillyness to the table.  She brings Ashton into her wild and carefree world.  Ashton is more nurturing and protective.  He is sure to remind her to follow any rules that keep her safe.  He enjoys teaching her the many things he knows.  He also loves to be silly and funny.  One of my favorite things in the world is to see them playing together, and hearing them giggle together. Enjoy some of the silly randomness in our day to day life.  The kids keep things pretty wild, fun, and entertaining.

A series of silly pictures of Jetta taken from the iphone turned forward.  She enjoyed seeing the silly faces she could pull.  She insisted both her and I wear hippie headbands as well.
