Ashton's lego party turned out great. We felt very lucky to have so many family members there to celebrate our little guy's big day. Ashton's couldn't contain his excitement (though this isn't unusual for him as we all know) running around with a huge grin on his face playing with his cousins, aunts, grandmas, and grandpas at his favorite place to play, Jumping Jacks. Ty, and Amy hooked us up and enabled us to throw a fun party. It turned out perfect. I wanted Ashton to feel like it was the special day that it was. Pinterest helped me come up with several of the decorating ideas (I think all of them actually). My Mother in law, helped me pull it off by helping me with setting up the decorations earlier in the day and helping me get food cooked and ready. When she arrived at our house to help I felt so lucky to have her as my 2nd Mom. My kids were naked and running everywhere, my Husband was at work, tons of chicken skewers still needed to be cooked, and it was nearly time to go. I still really don't know how we pulled it off but we did and Jetta and Ashton arrived to the party dressed and everyone was still happy. Success!
Family Arriving. Jetta and Grandpa finding Grandma Pete which thrilled Jetta of course. Grandma Pete is in Jetta's top five, that's for sure.
Ashton loves looking at these pictures. So thank you for being good sports and putting such a big smile on Ashton's face. Pappa Harry's solo pic is his favorite. He gets the giggles when he looks at it. Cole, thank you for taking the pics. I didn't take a single pic at the party so I'm very grateful that Cole and Robyn took some to record the fun day for Ashton. Thank you!
Thank you Pinterest for the decorating ideas. The mason jars are filled with legos and have lego marshmellow pops in them. The marshmellow pops actually turned out better than I thought they would.
Thank you Cole and Ty for the helium. Apparently there is a shortage of it and if the business didn't own their own helium tank we wouldn't have had balloons which I have to say I think balloons make a party.
That string was supposed to have pictures of Ashton all across, but I either ran out of pictures or ran out of time. I can't remember.
Presents!
Cole, put the "pin the lego head" game together. Turned out cute!
Grandma Demaree made the cutest lego cake. The kid loves sweets but most of all he loves that Grandma would put his favorite thing on a cake like that. Being five he doesn't understand how long it took Grandma to make his cake, but he gets that it's special and that it's for him and that means a lot to all of us.
Thank you, Mom!
Loving on Grandpa, Milt.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to come. It means a great deal to us. We feel very lucky to have so much love around our kids (and us) as they reach milestones. We couldn't ask for better family. Cole and I feel incredibly lucky to be Ashton's Mom and Dad. We are excited to watch him continue to grow and learn. We feel very proud of him. It is fun to see him take in the world. We love you, little man! Happy Birthday, buddy.
