Cole and I had been watching the weather after hearing we were going to get a snow storm in the desert.  Ashton was very excited and tried to keep his eyes open the night prior trying to be awake to see the first snowflakes touch the streets.  When he woke up the following morning he was thrilled and anxious to play in it. Both Cole and I have fun memories related to snowy days so it was a day full of fun nostalgia for us.  I think snow days bring out the kid in us.  Jetta couldn't stop laughing and enjoyed her daddy's laundry basket sleigh rides.  They both kept eating the snow off of their playhouse.  And then to top the morning off perfectly Ashton looked out our front door window and noticed a present at the end of the walk up....Mrs. Claus made her yearly Christmas surprise visit bringing fun Christmas books and hot cocoa with marshmallows for them to enjoy through the Christmas season.  It was a perfect day to remember.
