Ashton's science party was a hit. We had lots of smiles, laughs, and curious friends while we did our science experiments. I wish I could say all of these things were my idea... but right now with how busy life is my brain just doesn't think like that. Pinterest is my crutch and makes it all come together as I use the creative ideas there. I simply search it and it tells me how to pull it off. The science experiments we did were: Frankenworms, Tie-Dye Milk, Bubbling Blobs, Soda Geysers. We had three other experiments prepared to use: Elephant toothpaste, Volcano bags, and Air Balloons. Plus, a scavenger hunt that Cole had prepared. But we were already over on time by 40 minutes when we decided to scratch the rest for another day. It was so much fun. Finn even napped for the entire party up in his bed which let us focus completely on pulling it off and making it as fun and cool as possible. Ashton was all smiles as he celebrated his eight birthday with his friends. Jetta, was our cheerleader. She loved every minute, too. She was adorable in her science get up. She is always so good at cheering someone on and being excited for them when the focus is on them. She is our little joy button. Both Cole and I can't believe our little man is eight years old already. Eight more and he will likely be preparing for his next stage in life. We feel fortunate to be his mom and dad. We can't imagine life without him. I think often how we could have lost him if my doctors didn't catch that I needed some intervention when I was pregnant with him. He is an amazing little boy who isn't that little anymore. He is growing to be everything I would hope for him. He has big dreams. We love you, Ashton! More than you will ever know buddy! This last picture is of you, Ashton, walking a friend home from your birthday party. Ashton, you are one of the most sincere, and honest, and friendliest, happiest, tenderhearted, and thoughtful people I know. You are a loyal friend. You are lucky to have such great friends and family and they are very lucky to have you! I don't know how I got so fortunate to be your Momma, but I treasure it. I treasure you! Your Daddy feels the same. We love you so very much! Always!
