"Grandmas are moms with lots of frosting." - Author unknown

Our weekly visits to Grandma Pete's house has been one of our favorite activities.  The kids look forward to seeing her and interacting with her.  Jetta loves to play with the bouncy ball with her and other fun toys Grandma has.  Ashton enjoys the toys and information and history books she often finds him from the thrift stores.  They beg for her chicken nuggets and prefer her delicious food to my cooking.  They adore their Grandma Pete.  She has been such a beacon of light in my life.  She has shown me unconditional love from the start and has nurtured me with her loving grandmother heart. She's been patient with me as I've continued to mature and grow.  She's encouraged me along my way and believed in me.  She has taught me a great deal and continues to teach me.  I admire and love her so very much.  We are very lucky to call her our Grandma Pete.

My Grandma's sister Aunt Cleo was visiting Grandma when we got to come and spend some time with both of them at Grandma's house.  I've always liked Aunt Cleo and felt like she cared about us.

I have the best Dad there is! On the way to Grandma's house one week I called to tell him my tire was going flat and nearly too flat to drive on.  Cole was working and Dad helped me out. Dad dropped everything going on in his morning to lend me a hand.  He came over to Grandma's while we there and checked my tire and fixed it so I could drive on it.  While there he enjoyed Grandma's delicious food with us and even took more time out of his day to take Ashton on a hike up this mountain.  They are hard to see but if you look really close you can see they made it to the top.  Anyone who knows me well knows my Dad is my hero.  We love him and appreciate him.
